An experiment in which two or more ingredients are mixed or blended together to form an end product. Measurements are taken on several blends of the ingredients in an attempt to find the blend that produces the ‘best’ response. The measured response is assumed to be a function only of the components in the mixture and not a function of the total amount of the mixture.
