Longitudinal Data

Data arising when each of a number of subjects or patients give rise to a vector of measurements representing the same variable observed at a number of different time points. Such data combine elements of multivariate data and time series data. They differ from the former, however, in that only a single variable is involved, and from the latter in consisting of a (possibly) large number of short series, one from each subject, rather than a single long series.
